Vale Tony Teare - a volunteer who tried his best!

Tony Teare You will be sadly missed, by all who knew you and all who did not and are only finding about you now. I wish I knew you, I really do. You were obviously a wonderful person, probably someone that I could most have really related to, in many ways...

It does not matter what we look like or how we choose to dress, or wear our clothes or hair. It is the persons heart and soul that is the most important thing that matters and all of our little quirky things that we do and say and not do and not say, that will be remembered, for who you were.

You did make a difference in this world and to peoples lives and you are special!

Our deepest, sincerest sympathiess to Tony’s family, friends and to all who knew him and miss him. It is really, really sad, but we do not live forever. He is in a much better place and one day we will all see him again.

We need your help - volunteer now

Beyond Disability helps housebound disabled adults and wheelchair school children.

We provide a complete training package to our new volunteers-buddy up with an experienced volunteer plus you receive a volunteer induction manual and CD.

All you need is a car, patience and some very basic computer skills.

Do not be frightened of the word computer.

We will teach you all computer skills you need.

You will also have the personal benefit of being able to investigate and write your own family tree, write your autobiography and short stories, learn how to maintain a computer free and learn job skills - building interpersonal relationships and teaching people.

You might even be able to help us develop our training courses for our new volunteers.

You can help housebound disabled to communicate from home.

You can help to grow the Beyond Disability community program and develop your own skills along the way.

Have a look at our website www.bdi.org.au to find out more.
